Step-by-step explanation

log4x-1=log2x-3

⇒12log2x-1=log2x-3

⇒log2x-11/2=log2x-3

⇒x-11/2=x-3

⇒x-1=x2+9-6x

⇒x2-7x+10=0

⇒x-2x-5=0

⇒x=2,5

But x≠2 because it is not satisfying the domain of given equation i.e log2x-3→ its domain x>3 finally x is 5

∴ No. of solutions =1.
