Step-by-step explanation

For a1x+b1y=c1anda2x+b2y=c2 to have no solution,

a1a2=b1b2≠c1c2

∴k+1k=8k+3≠4k3k-1

k+1k+3=8k⇒k2-4k+3=0

⇒k=1,3

but, for k=1,8k+3=4k3k-1

∴k=3

Hence, only one value
